Gemm Piano Supply on the Second Day at The Shanghai Music Show

The first morning at Music China has been a busy one! The doors to the expo center opened and throngs of visitors from all over the world entered hall E1 had a variety of different pianos: from classical black grand pianos to artistic candy apple red upright pianos, there is plenty to admire the massive exhibition halls. We had the pleasure of meeting the president of Abel and many different companies.

The long awaited day is here! We have just arrived at The Shanghai Music Show and everything looks spectacular. Its amazing how many people are here and a lot of booths.

At Music China starts off with exploring the wind instruments area.

We see the beautiful craftsmanship of saxophones, flutes, and harmonicas.

We were treated to live music from musician Wang Qian. Hall W-2 was filled with the sounds of hundreds of drums being played by musicians and visitors alike.

First Day at The Shanghai Music Show

The first day of Music China 2016 is a wrap! We met manufacturers of many different pianos such as Abel Piano, Carod Piano, Chloris Piano, Yamaha, and Steinway & Sons, among others. It was welcoming to be able to connect with people in the business and fellow music enthusiasts. Hall E1 was exclusively piano manufacturers, piano accessories and parts suppliers.

Tuning hammers, caster cups, damper felts and so many other products were displayed for us to see and hold to ensure we get the best quality products.

The entire first half of the day was spent in just this one hall! In other halls, we saw beautiful guitars, wind instruments as well as traditional Chinese instruments.

All day live music was playing in the massive space between the two different wings of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The cloudy, windy, and rainy day didn't deter from the joy of music.

Gemm Media takes on Shanghai Disney’s 10K Inspiration Run!

As Gemm Media’s resident fitness enthusiast, took on the first ever Inspiration Run at the Shanghai Disney Resort.

The anticipated event sold out within minutes!

As the date of the run drew nearer, I trained and ran several times a week to get into the fit and form for a 10K. Three days before the run I arrived in Shanghai and got to pick up the race kit which included a Shanghai Disney Inspiration Run t-shirt, a Sketchers visor, a Chevrolet fitness towel and other small goods.

In order to arrive at the event bright and early on the morning of the 16th. of September 2018, I booked my stay at the Toy Story Hotel. Walking into the hotel was like being brought into the world of the Toy Story film. Bright colors everywhere, concept art adorning the walls and delightful details like a rubix cube nightstand made my stay magical. All the staff members were super friendly and would take the time to say hello to me with a warm smile.

The morning of the race, I shuttled over to the race area where I got to meet fellow Disney fans and make new friends. A few minutes before 8:10 we were counted down by none other than Minnie Mouse!

I took off, weaving through fellow racers as we coursed through Disney Town. Belle waved to us from a restaurant balcony, bonjour! The sun was beating down but we kept going, making it into Toy Story Land where Jesse, Lotso, Buzz and Woody cheered us on. Racing through the park was excited because of all the characters that were present to keep us pumped and inspired to continue running. Halfway through the run, the course went out of the theme park and into the calm and peaceful Wishing Star Park which surrounds a lake. This was the most challenging part of the race as there are many inclines and curves to navigate. Finally, when I was at home stretch to the finish line, I saw Mickey and Minnie and waved to them before raising my hand in the air as I made it to the end. Red-faced and ecstatic to have run the 10K on such a hot and sunny day, I went to the achievement ceremony where the marketing chief and other executives presented awards to the fastest runners.

We were treated to a little dance show from Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck!

What a magical experience!

I was very happy to be able to represent Gemm Media for the Shanghai Disney’s first Inspiration Run and we’ll be back again next year!

Gemm Piano Supply is at the 2018 China Shanghai Music Show!

The doors to the expo center opened and throngs of visitors from all over the world entered the hall and had a variety of different pianos: from classical Grand Pianos to artistic Upright Pianos, there is plenty to admire the massive exhibition halls.

Here once again meeting our friend Norbert at the Abel Hammer booth.

Last day of our trip to the Music China expo! It’s great to see businesses we work with such as Hal Leonard.

We’ve had another great experience at the Music China 2018! Music and excitement filled all the halls as professionals and music lovers alike looked at instruments ranging from pianos to guitars to even harmonicas.

We enjoyed meeting with new suppliers to offer our customers a variety of quality products at the best prices.

As always, we work to learn what is new on the market and what we can do to bring our customers exactly what they need.

Gemm Media in Miami Florida Brings Christmas Cheer to Local Refugee Children

Miami, FL – The Christmas joy was felt by all at a charity Holiday Gift Giving Party hosted by Gemm Media, sponsored by Gemm Broadcasting Corporation.

The magic of Christmas brought smiles to all the families in attendance, all of whom are refugees who have relocated to Miami.

From toys to bicycles to tablets were handed out to children of all ages, happy to receive their new gifts. At the end of the event, everyone applauded to express their gratitude and excitement.

It’s important to remember during the holiday season the joy of giving to those in need and creating wonderful memories that can make a lasting impression.
